How Does The Franchise Work?

It’s simple really!  Operating within an exclusive geographical area, each Franchisee will offer a balloon decorating service to:

  1. Corporate Customers – Organisations who require a balloon decorating service for conferences, exhibitions and product/service launches.
  2. Customers – Balloon decorating for weddings, birthdays and all of those special events in life!

We will provide you with all the knowledge and expertise that you need to develop your territory.  Working from home, Franchisees will be given a professionally branded package, including a fully liveried vehicle!

Our Head Office team will also develop key National Accounts with hotel and Conference facilities so that The Great British Balloon Company is the preferred choice of balloon decorating service!

We will continually be looking to innovate with new eye-catching designs and products, which we will train you in.  With fresh designs coming out on a regular basis, there will always be something new to tempt the customer – and keep sales up.

We expect our Franchisees to work together – swapping ideas and supporting each other at key events.  And, of course, we’re always there to point you in the right direction.

Training and Support

As a Franchisee you will be joining a business that is certainly very visual and our business seeks to provide the “wow” factor at all events, conferences, weddings and parties.  Our expertise lies in enabling you to hit the ground running, so when the time comes for you to launch, we do not simply hand over the tools and let you get on with it!

Our Training Program is very comprehensive and will provide you with all the training you will need to get the business up and running, as well as providing you with an ongoing package of support.

All Franchisees must undergo an initial training program that will include:

  • Product Knowledge and Balloon Architecture
  • Event Design
  • Sales and Marketing
  • Administration and Accounts
  • Dealing With Suppliers
  • Running A Business

The program will cover all you need to know about how to operate the system and will give you an opportunity to develop a working relationship with the management team.  In addition, we aim to back up your initial training with real-life management experience, as you will be spending time with our experts out in the field working on real events!

We also provide you with a comprehensive package of Operations Manuals and Technical Manuals.

During your initial business set-up, our support staff will be on hand to guide you through all the key stages, and during your launch period we will be on-hand in your territory to lend support and guidance.

However, that is just the beginning of our support process! Throughout the year we will be running workshops, courses and seminars to keep Franchisees updated on new developments in the marketplace.  We want to see our Franchisees winning awards on the national and international stage!

 Marketing and Brand Support

Our aim is to make The Great British Balloon Company the first point of call for anyone organising an event.

We will be continuing to develop a program of national marketing activity to support the development of business at a local level.  We will be negotiating national agreements with the major hotel chains as well as key event organisers, so that potential customers are given your details immediately!

However, we also realise the importance of having a proactive local / tactical marketing and PR campaign, and our program of support includes:

  • A comprehensive brand identity starter package
  • A package of templates that will support the launch of the franchise – PR, literature, posters.
  • A suite of presentational and marketing materials.
  • Online marketing through our web-site.
  • Desktop CD-ROM marketing and presentation material.

  • The ability to organise and delegate, as there will be events where you need a good team in place to work quickly, but to high standards.
  • Business aware – you will be running your own business and will need to be able to organise, plan, resolve difficult situations and take difficult decisions.
